"North Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with the quick-fix, diassocation approach of Western Medicine. We are beginning to see that it is better to be pro-active regarding the maintenance
of our health than to wait and try and cure disease. I believe that our physical health, emotions, mental state, spiritual happiness, environment, family, work situations even the air we breathe
contribute and are connected to our state of wellbeing. In North America we seem to hand over complete responsibility of our health to doctor's, it's imperative that our society understands that our
state of health is half the doctor's job and half the individual's. Medicine should not be approached with a "one shoe fits all" attitude; I want to work with the individual to find the best
treatment for their particular lifestyle." - Danielle Caruk, DTCM, RAc
"The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." - Thomas Edison

Jessica Schiewe, RMT
Massage Therapist
Jessica Schiewe participated in the last graduating class of Foothills College of Massage Therapy, completing the 2,200 hour program in 2007. Following her graduation she has developed her
specialties in Lumbopelvic/Craniosacral/Myofascial Therapy, and a Breast Massage course focusing on women's health and self care. Craniosacral therapy is a manipulation that involves light touch to
the cranium (skull) and sacrum (base of spine) bones. It is based on a theory that the movement of bones as well as the rhythmic flow of cerebrospinal fluid plays a role in the body's overall
functioning. This can relieve many conditions including chronic neck, back and sciatic pain, headaches, sinus and jaw discomfort, plus general relaxation. Myofascial therapy involves treating the
body's fascia that can cause dysfunction, restriction, and pain.
Over the past 3 years Jessica has been working directly with Chiropractors, and Athletic Trainer, and Acupuncturists. Together they make the best treatment plan for their
clients. She has recently joined a new team which includes a Medical Doctor, a Nutritionist and a Life Coach. This new team's main focus surrounds pregnancies and woman's health.
For the past year, her focus has been expanding her practice with children massage, ranging from 2-12 years of age. Jess' background specializes in childcare and children with
special needs. In 2000, she completed her Certified Education Assistant certificate along with partaking in volunteering programs.
Jes will continue to achieve her future goals and aspirations by furthering her education and life experiences in yoga, energy healing, woman's health, and Craniosacral
